Afghanistan

A Technical Review is under revision after a positive decision was taken in principle.  The pre-mission took place 6-10 May 2008, led by the World Bank, and comprised UNDP (local and Geneva) and WTO staff.  A familiarization workshop for Afghan IF stakeholders took place, as well as consultations on the DTIS outline.  The main DTIS mission is expected for October/November 2008.   

In the meantime, an EIF Tier 1 project will be prepared, focusing on capacity-building measures in trade policy-making, trade capacity-building, donor coordination and programme management.
