The preparatory mission took place in March 2006. The main findings of this mission were incorporated in an Aide-mémoire. A concept paper was prepared upon completion of the preparatory mission.

The main mission took place in June/July 2006, after which aide-mémoires were prepared, summarizing the outcome of the mission.

The draft DTIS was completed in April 2007. A national workshop was held in November 2007.

The DTIS results and recommendations, which were discussed in September 2007 during a donor roundtable meeting for CAR, have been included in the PRSP.
