Lesotho

The National Validation Workshop was held in February 2003. The final report was approved by the government in February 2004. The trade issues were partly incorporated in the PRSP, which was finalized in early 2005.

Some of the TA projects proposed in the Action Matrix are financed under DFID’s Lesotho Trade and Poverty Program (LTPP).

The April 2006 PRSP emphasized deepening regional integration in SACU, trade facilitation and the garment sector.

Two Window II projects were launched:

• Export product and market development
• Support for the integrated approach to trade enhancement

The UK (DFID) is the IF facilitator in Lesotho. The DFID, GTZ, USAID and WB are supporting IF implementation in Lesotho.
