The preliminary mission took place in April 2004, and the main findings of this mission are included in an aide-mémoire. After the mission, a concept paper was prepared, outlining the building blocs for the Trade Diagnostic Integration Study.

The main mission took place on 4-22 October 2004. The findings of the main mission were summarized in an aide-mémoire.

In May 2005, a mission took place to discuss the draft DTIS with the authorities.

The National Validation Workshop took place in November 2005. The final version of the DTIS was approved in April 2006.

The vision on economic diversification in the 2005 PRSP is reflected in the DTIS.

The DTIS carried out by the World Bank in 2006-07 concluded with a set of recommendations that were translated into two Window II projects:

• Capacity building project
• Technical assistance project
