Uganda

The preparatory mission took place in May 2005. Its main findings were incorporated in an aide-mémoire. Based on these findings, a concept note was prepared and reviewed by the World Bank and the IF Working Group. The main mission was fielded in July 2005, after which the draft DTIS was prepared.

Regional trade issues, trade facilitation, product standards/SPS, export promotion and ITC trade issues were included in the May 2005 PRSP.

The National Validation Workshop, during which the draft DTIS was discussed, took place in October 2006. After the workshop, an aide-mémoire was prepared, describing the envisaged implementation and follow-up process.

The DTIS was validated in October 2006.

Window II projects are under preparation.
